  • Strawberry Cake Recipe

     

    Ingredients

     

    •     1 package white cake mix (regular size)
    •     1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
    •     1 cup water
    •     1/2 cup canola oil
    •     4 egg whites
    •     1/2 cup mashed unsweetened strawberries
    •     Whipped cream or frosting for your choice


    Directions


        In a large bowl, combine the dry cake mix, gelatin powder, water and oil. Beat on low speed for 1 minute or until moistened; beat on medium for 4 minutes.
        In a small bowl with clean beaters, beat egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites and mash strawberries into cake batter.
        Pour into three greased and floured 8-in. round baking pans. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
        Frost with whipped cream or frosting. If frosted with whipped cream, store in the refrigerator. Yield: 12-16 servings.

  • Strawberry Daiquiri

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 ounce(s) Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum
    • 1 3/4 ounce(s) sweet and sour mix
    • 3 ounce(s) frozen strawberries
    • 1 cup(s) crushed ice

    Directions

    Add Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, sweet and sour mix, frozen strawberries, and crushed ice in a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into glass. Garnish with strawberry.

  • Strawberry-Coconut Daiquiri

    Ingredients

    • 2 1/2 cup(s) (about 12 ounces) chopped fresh or frozen (not thawed) strawberries
    • 3 tablespoon(s) sugar
    • 2 tablespoon(s) lime juice
    • 3 cup(s) ice cubes
    • 3/4 cup(s) coconut-flavored rum, such as Malibu

    You'll feel like you're on a tropical getaway with this refreshing strawberry-coconut cocktail. To keep it cool in warmer weather, freeze fresh berries for 30 minutes before blending. Variation: For a nonalcoholic version, omit the rum and add 1/2 cup additional strawberries.

    Wow it’s hot.  TOO HOT TO WORK HOT!!! Since early May, it' been a white hot furnace in Philadelphia and the entire Delaware Valley is suffering.  Productivity has been down throughout the region.  It's time to take action and fight back.  We have a great idea you might want to consider.  We recently catered a corporate ice cream social for 500 people and it was a huge success.  Employee morale had been down due to the heat and something needed to be done to get productivity back on schedule.  We proposed an Ice Cream Social with a Smoothie Bar and the frozen refreshments worked wonders. With summer winding down, it's time for everyone to get back to work,  Maybe your staff just needs an employee attitude adjustment as well.    Just a thought….  Cooler heads will prevail.
